Megna has also worked with brands such as Foxtel, Village Roadshow, TAC, Bakers Delight and Home Timber & Hardware.

In his new position, Megna will be responsible for driving Bare’s creative, brand and social strategy, including developing new ways to communicate Bare’s offering across all communication channels, including above the line, social, CX and non-traditional media.

Megna said: “For me, Bare is one of the most exciting businesses in Australia today. The opportunity to build a bold and disruptive brand, while redefining an entire category is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Creatively there is a lot of wide open space in this sector and we intend to go there”.

He continued: “As Bare continues to grow, my goal is to make end-of-life a more open topic and double down on the brand’s purpose and positioning. I want to make sure every Aussie knows exactly who Bare is and that we’re here to make things easier during times of need”.

Co-founder of Bare, Cale Donovan, added: “We’re really excited to have Dom onboard. Our vision for Bare has always been bigger than just the brand – we want to challenge and redefine a category that needs to do better by consumers. Dom shares this passion and brings incredible experience that will help us shape the brand long into the future – we can’t wait to see where he takes it”.

1Mazda@CHE Proximity managing director Martin Griffin said: “Dom has been a wonderful member of the agency and creative department, and while we’re sad to see him go, we wish him nothing but the best in his new role, and thank him for his brilliant contribution during his time at CHEP.”

Bare was founded by Donovan and Sam McConkey in 2019, and its core product offering is pre-paid funerals.
