While the #QantasLuxury Twitter contest looked like a rolled gold social media disaster from the beginning, there are a couple of ways of telling for sure.
1. Has anyone created a fake Twitter profile? Yes, of course they have.
2. Has anyone created a Downfall video? Yes, of course they have.

It’s ‘pyjama’s’ isn’t it?

It is rather strange isn’t it; creating a social media campaign offering pyjama’s after all that has gone on.
Big corporates who are not nimble and are evidently extremely arrogant and totally overwhelmed with inward focus and thoughts are not getting it.
Vodafone is a good example of a similar giant who has been battered by disgruntled customers who have shared their dissatisfaction online.
Vodafone is easy to unravel and why, oh why they didn’t create a ‘we are real sorry’ campaign and offer new sign ups a free 3 months or something is beyond me (or did they?) Be human and reap the rewards, if they can provide a signal that is.
I am personally still a trifle confused with the Qantas deal. In discussions I am finding that many folk seem to have an opinion, depending on which side of politics they are on… Either or Qantas do appear to have seriously messed up.
I for one know that I and many colleagues, family and friends are booking Virgin and connecting with Telstra; peace of mind and all that.
(I have no agenda to peddle either company, just stating facts; both reliable…)

The question of course is who thought a pair of bloody pyjamas would make a good prize?
They are an airline after all – selling a highly perishable product.
They should have given away like flights for 2, every day for 3 months or 10 flights a day for a month or 100 even….
After all it costs Qantas next to nothing to put people in 2 spare seats….
