The mystery of the vanishing Kyle Sandilands self-love mural
It was literally a case of ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ for the amorous mural of radio shock-jock Kyle Sandilands, engaged in an act of self-love.
As Dr Mumbo reported on Friday the two-storey painting of Sandilands kissing himself was nearing completion outside Zigi’s Wine & Cheese Bar in Chippendale.
But since then it’s disappeared…
The mural – which was an imitation of the Kanye West mural – which was sold for more than $100,000 – was there on Saturday:
On Sunday, Pedestrian.TV report that, somewhat unsurprisingly, the mural of Kyle had quickly been graffitied:
Today, the mural is gone. Replaced with a a peace sign and the letter I P (could this be for intellectual property?).
There are so many questions: Did King Kyle seek to take it down? Did he pay them? Is the mural now enjoying pride of place in Sandilands’ home? Which renowned egotist will Zigi’s bear witness to next?
Dr Mumbo will keep you updated.
Apparently it was taken down as the radio show refused to pay the original artist of Kanye to paint it so they had another artist copy his design for a cheaper cost. This may have something to do with it.

Interestingly, K&J (or that imbecile Intern Pete) have been blocking people who wrote negative, but not rude on their instagram!
