No, not the agency. The Droga5 founder’s flat.
David Droga’s modest lodging on Foster Street in Surry Hills, advertised as a ‘Sculptural Penthouse of fluid geometry’, has been listed on Domain by property agent McGrath.
Droga had clearly had enough of roughing it in such squalor, and wanted to upgrade to something more habitable.
The sale has prompted a rival of McGrath, the ‘architect designed’ estate agency Modern House, to run an ad for one of its own properties that directly targets the ad community.
The Domain ad is marketing the property – which featured in a Schweppes commercial – as ‘Better than David Droga’s Apartment’.
Available to rent for $730 week, the Darlington property “has a much more authentic warehouse feel than the award-winning Droga apartment”, the ad reads.

“architect designed” has to be one of the worst tautologous phrases using extra words that are superfluous to the meaning of what needs to be said at the moment in the present day right now.
As opposed to what? “Farmer designed”? “NRL prop-designed”? “Just happened to spring up”?, “gave the builder a stack of bricks and told him to go for it”?
