Ego Pharmaceuticals expands its relationship with Channel T

Ego Pharmaceuticals has expanded its relationship with Channel T, appointing the agency as its brand and creative partner following a competitive pitch.

Channel T previously worked on the digital and social marketing for Ego Pharmaceuticals, and has now taken over the creative account.

Ego Pharmaceuticals houses brands including QV Skincare, Sunsense and Aqium.

The agency will be responsible for developing the brand and communications strategy, creative, digital and social marketing across Ego’s brand portfolio.

The expanded partnership began in July.

Tenille Taylor, marketing manager Ego Pharmaceuticals, said: “Channel T demonstrated very strong planning and creative capability throughout the pitch process, and we are excited to welcome Channel T to the team.”

Channel T’s managing director, Paul Rhodes, said there was good chemistry with the business.

“Ego Pharmaceuticals have great brands loved by millions of people. We are looking forward to playing our part in growing these brands over the next few years. And, we feel there will be a really good chemistry between the Ego team and ourselves as we share many of the same values,” Rhodes said.

UPDATE – 3 August 12:25pm 

Previously, Mumbrella reported that Channel T had taken over the creative account from Ogilvy, this was incorrect. Ogilvy has contacted Mumbrella to clarify that it currently works on community management for Ego Pharmaceuticals’ Elucent Skin Care.

UPDATE – 4 August 11:16am 

Geometry holds the global creative account for Ego Pharmaceuticals. Following Channel T’s appointment, Geometry will no longer work on the Australian business, but will continue to provide work supporting the global account.
