Trop Fest, which nearly died a year ago through financial mismanagement was rescued by insurer CGU in a deal brokered by creative agency Cummin & Partners.

The 24-year-old festival will also move, taking place in Parramatta on February 11.

CGU remains on board as a sponsor with a new three year deal.

Other new sponsors include Coca-Cola Amatil’s Mount Franklin; Coates Hire and Getty Images.

Trop Fest founder John Polson said: “It’s exciting to marvel at how far Tropfest has come, we are thrilled with every one of these exciting new partnerships. They will be an integral part of the revitalized Tropfest for its debut at our new home in Parramatta.”
