EssenceMediacom appoints APAC client lead for Uber account
EssenceMediacom Australia has appointed a new APAC client manager partner to drive one of the agency’s biggest media accounts.
Maddison Keogh takes on the role to lead the Uber APAC partnership, after the media agency was reappointed to the account in 2024.
The agency beat PHD and Mediabrands in a competitive pitch last year, winning the account understood to be worth AU$235 million. The account is run entirely from the agency’s Sydney headquarters.
The Australian Mediacom team, prior to its merger with Essence, was appointed to the account in 2017.
Keogh has nearly 15 years of experience in client leadership and media management, half of that at Initiative Sydney, where she was most recently head of client service. She has worked with a range of clients including Amazon, Salesforce, Goodman Fielder, and Pernod Ricard.

In her new role, Keogh will drive operations across the APAC market for the Uber account, and will work closely with EssenceMediacom’s wider leadeship and client teams to “raise the bar” in client management.
She said she’s excited to join an agency with “unrivalled momentum”.
“I am thrilled to be working with some of the smartest talent in our industry and look forward to contributing to the agency’s breakthrough vision by harnessing my expertise in client leadership and business development,” Keogh said in a media release on Friday.
“Innovation drives our industry forward, and the opportunity to partner with a client like Uber who consistently raises the bar with groundbreaking work, was an opportunity I couldn’t look past.”
Stevie Douglas-Neal, Sydney managing director at EssenceMediacom, described Keogh as a “hugely impressive” client leader.
“Uber’s philosophy is so well aligned with our breakthrough mindset and toolset,” she said in the release.
