Ex Crikey publisher Jason Whittaker joins Media Watch
Former Crikey publisher Jason Whittaker has emerged with a new role behind the scenes on The ABC’s Media Watch.
The move, which Mumbrella understands will see Whittaker became a story editor on the weekly show, comes a month after he resigned from Private Media.
During his seven years at Private Media, Whittaker was deputy editor, editor and publisher of Crikey, as well as the founding editor of public sector title The Mandarin.
Media Watch is hosted by Paul Barry, with former Radio National Breakfast boss Tim Latham its executive producer since 2014.
Found my (standing) desk as an @ABCMediaWatch-er at @ABCTV. Say hi, Ultimo folk. Sorry in advance, journo pals. Tell me things, news junkies

Because Media Watch wasn’t already left wing biased enough already they’ve decided to double down.
