Ex Liberal staffer Damien Jones joins CPR

CPR has moved to boost its Liberal links with the appointment of MP Bronwyn Bishop’s former chief of staff Damien Jones to its team. The appointment comes days after the election of a Liberal NSW government.

SYDNEY, 30 MARCH 2011: CPR Communications & Public Relations today announced a new appointment to its Sydney office.

The firm has engaged a senior adviser to continue the New South Wales office’s growth, following the election of the NSW Coalition Government.

Former Chief of Staff and long-term Federal Coalition adviser, Damien Jones, has been appointed to advise clients on the O’Farrell Government.

General Manager of CPR NSW, Mr Anthony Reed, said Damien would bring a wealth of experience and valuable relationships that will ensure CPR remains Sydney’s leading communications and government relations firm.

“Damien brings more than a decade of experience to CPR, having worked in Federal Government and Opposition across a number of portfolios,” Mr Reed said.

“Damien joins Kristy McSweeney, an experienced public and government relations specialist, who previously worked for Qantas and The Hon. Tony Abbott MP during his time as Federal Health Minister.”
