Ex-Mars global marketing head Bruce McColl made professor at Ehrenberg-Bass Institute
The former global head of marketing for Mars Bruce McColl has been named as Industry Professor with the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute in South Australia.
Australian McColl retired from US-based Mars Inc this year after ten years as global chief marketing officer role, during which time the company won numerous marketing accolades including Advertiser of the Year at Cannes Lions. Director of the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute Professor Byron Sharp, said: “The kind of experience Bruce has is unique, he’s seen great changes in the industry, and is a leader in the application of scientific knowledge to marketing practice.
“Corporate sponsors of the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute as well as students will benefit from his experience in marrying creativity and science.”
McColl will be lecturing and advising research students at the centre.
