Ex-News Ltd’s Benjamin Haslem appointed as Jackson Wells CEO

Independent PR firm Jackson Wells has appointed former News Limited journalist Benjamin Haslem as CEO.

Haslem succeeds the firm’s founder John Wells, who shifts to an executive role.

“It’s been 20 years since John and I established the company, and it seemed the right time to hand over to a new generation,” said company chairman Keith Jackson.

Haslem has a decade of experience working on The Australian in Sydney, where he was chief of staff, Melbourne and Canberra, to the role. He has also had stints on The Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph. He joined Jackson Wells eight years ago.

Jackson Wells’ client list includes Insurance Council of Australia, Royal Flying Doctor Service and General Property Trust.
