The announcement:

Multi-award winning design and director collective, The DMC Initiative (DMCI) have teamed up with Nick Jr. and ex-Wiggle Sam Moran for Nick Jr.’s new short form musical series ‘Play Along with Sam’.

The DMCI developed the series logo identity, opening titles and brand package, as well as designing and animating specific elements to be used throughout the 80 short-form segments. Set in his playroom, Sam is eager to share the things he discovers taking children on a daily exploration through movement, music, letters, wordplay, imaginative games and problem solving.

Alongside the series development, DMCI creative director, Nathan Drabsch has also directed a Nick Jr. brand ID. Written by Moran, the ID is based off a journey through song through the world of Nick Jr. Moran sings and dances along with some of Nick Jr.’s most loved characters, such as Dora the Explorer, Yo Gabba-Gabba and the Bubble Guppies.

The Nick Jr. campaign solidifies DMCI’s reputation in providing content for the children’s market having also created series ID’s for Nick Jr. and Nickelodeon that were broadcast globally and worked with other children’s entertainment brands throughout Asia and the US.

“It’s been fantastic to work with such a talented performer as Sam Moran and to again be partnering with our long time client Nickelodeon. We really believe in great client partnerships and working with the Nick team and Sam was no exception. It’s wonderful to have been a part of something which will be providing kids with really fun and educational entertainment,” says Nathan Drabsch.
