EXCLUSIVE: New digital agency Future Büro launches
The digital duo who were the driving force behind Sydney agency Fluoro have launched a new venture – Future Büro – Mumbrella can reveal.
Chris Gillespie, who helped found Fluoro four years ago, sold to Hyro in January 2007. He and Noel Wilson left the agency last year and went into a non-compete period, which has now expired.
Gillespie is creative director of the new venture, while Wilson is operations director. Founding clients include Red Bull and EA Games who they worked with at Fluoro.
Gillespie told Mumbrella: “We had the potential of either starting something ourselves or helping head up an international agency which was looking to launch here. In the end, EA needed us to get going, so we went for it.”
The digital creative studio – based in Surry Hills, Sydney, has launched with a team of five and is positioning itself in the space between the likes of Frost Design or Holler.
Technical director Andrew Bateman is due to come on board at the end of the month.
Wilson said: “A lot of opportunities seem to be coming our way. We’re at the planning stages with three or four other clients.”
