The announcement:

Fetch TV and Aussie Broadband today announced a partnership that will see the award-winning Fetch service available to Aussie Broadband customers.

From December 2018, Aussie Broadband customers will be able to enjoy their favourite content together in one place, with one remote, one interface and one bill, and delivered over the network with Australia’s best nbnTM speeds*.  Pre-orders for new customers will be accepted from 19 November.

Aussie Broadband will make available the 4K capable Fetch Mighty box featuring 4 tuners and a 1TB personal video recorder for $15 per month, and the Fetch Mini streaming box with 1 tuner for $10 per month.  Customers will be able to share content, subscriptions and recordings between up to 3 multi-room boxes.  Like most of its other plans, Aussie Broadband will offer Fetch TV with no lock-in contracts.

Scott Lorson, CEO, Fetch TV said “Aussie Broadband has earned a reputation for great customer service and industry leading nbnTM broadband speeds. Like Fetch, they are enjoying strong growth by offering an attractive product at a competitive price. We believe Aussie Broadband will make a significant contribution toward our goal of 1m Australian households”.

Phillip Britt, MD of Aussie Broadband, said “Fetch TV is a perfect match for the company.  We really, really like the product and we think our customers will love it too – it really takes home entertainment to a whole new level.

We also think Fetch as a company is a great partner for us, which is almost as important as the service itself – they have the same focus on delivering a high-quality product, similar values and the same sense of humour.”

The Fetch service is a one-stop entertainment platform providing access to Free-to-Air TV, catch up services, $6 per month content packs offering premium linear subscription channels, a Movie Store with over 7500 movies to buy or rent, a TV Store with access to hundreds of the most popular shows, integrated access to Netflix, Stan, hayu# and YouTube, a media hub and more.

*The Aussie Broadband network was independently tested among top Australian telcos and recognised by the ACCC as being the fastest nbnTM network. Speeds were measured as a percentage of maximum plan speed of the providers tested.

# Additional subscriptions required for Netflix, Stan and hayu.
