Fetch TV rolls out new features and an updated interface

Fetch TV has rolled out a suite of new features for its users, including the addition of channel favourites and an Integrated Universal Search which allows consumers to search across the entire Fetch platform for content.

CEO Scott Lorson said the latest update is part of an ongoing transformation for the platform.

“A defining characteristic of the Fetch service is its dynamic nature, thanks to our highly agile in-house design and development capability. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the user experience by adding new features, evolving the User Interface, and enhancing our content offering. This latest release achieves all three, and there are more exciting changes to come,” he said.

“Fetch and our partners are focused on leading the market in both value and user experience. In a constantly evolving market with more choices than ever, Fetch is delivering “All your entertainment, easy”.”

Fetch users will a Mini set-top-box will receive access to the Amazon Prime Video app as part of the changes, previously only available to Fetch Mighty users, and the interface of the platform has undergone a visual makeover to improve accessibility. Darker colours, finer fonts and larger text have been used and will roll out this month across the Fetch Retail base.

A new look drive view will provide contextual show imagery and information to make browsing content easier and the introduction of 24-hour reverse mode allows for on-demand viewing of programs that aired up to 24 hours earlier.

A half-page takeover on Fetch

The platform has also introduced some new layout offerings, with more to follow in the coming months, which allow half-page takeovers to promote key content or deliver educational messages.
