Film Victoria reveals funding plans for Screen Skills

As part of its revamped guidelines, Film Victoria has announced the four funding strands in the Screen Skills area:

Production Internship (previously Internship on a Production)
Company Internship (Film and TV) (previously Internship with a Company – Film and TV)
Company Internship (Digital Media) (previously Internship with a Company – Digital Media)
Industry Activities (previously Screen Industry Development)The Production Internship program will provide funding (50 percent of salary pro-rata) for companies to recruit production inters for development opportunities within identified skills gaps.

Company Internship (Film and TV) will give fudnign to companies with substantial track records to recruit an intern for professional development, with the view of ongoing employment.

Company Internship (Digital Media) is similar to its Film and TV counterpart, with a provision of $4,000 for the host company towards hardware, softare or license purchases.

The Industry Activities strand will allow industry guilds and organisations to deliver activities for practitioners that increase their knowledge and expertise, with up to $15,000 for conferences, seminars, workshops, master classes or publications, and up to $20,000 for awards ceremonies.
