Finalists for the 2019 Walkley Awards for Excellence in Journalism announced

The finalists for the 64th annual Walkley Awards for Excellence in Journalism have been announced at events in Sydney and Melbourne, with the final list being selected from around 1300 entries.

Among the finalists are the Herald Sun’s Lawyer X reporting, Al Jazeera’s How to Sell A Massacre investigation, documentary The Final Quarter and coverage of the Christchurch terrorist attack.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Thursday, November 28, at the ICC Ballroom in Sydney. The awards will also be broadcast live on Sky News Extra (Foxtel Channel 604) and streamed on the Walkley website (walkleys.com) from 7.30pm.
