Finally, an Australian act scores a number one album

Australian duo Lime Cordiale have debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums chart this week, the first local band to score a number one album this year

Enough Of The Sweet Talk, the duo’s third album, knocked Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady from pole position, with last week’s #3 – Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft – sliding into second, while Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department jumped back into third place.

The second-highest debut also comes from an Australian duo, with Empire Of The Sun landing at #10 with their fourth album, Ask That God.

Swedish rock band Ghost also debuted high at #12 with their live album, Rite Here Rite Now, while the Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack also entered the charts, at #30.

Over on the ARIA Singles chart, Shaboozey is celebrating a fourth straight week at #1 with his celebratory A Bar Song (Tipsy), with Billie Eilish’s Birds Of A Feather being held at second place once again.

Post Malone has jumped from #4 to #3 with his Morgan Wallen duet, I Had Some Help, which was in turn bolstered by the only new release to enter the Top 50 this week, Post Malone’s Luke Combs duet, Guy For That, debuting at #18.

Speaking of country stars, Zach Bryan currently has three songs in Top 20 – quite an effort considering his album isn’t in the Top 20.
