First work from bespoke Telstra agency +61 launches

The first campaign from Telstra’s recently created bespoke agency +61 has launched for the brand’s Satellite Home internet, powered by Starlink.

‘From Space to Your Place’ focuses on regional areas that will benefit the most from the new connectivity solution, which allows users to stream, make video calls and game in some of the most remote parts of Australia.

The out-of-home (OOH) focused campaign was created in partnership with renowned photographer Nadav Kander and character designers Odd Studios.

The Australian prosthetic specialists, whose experience on films like Prometheus, Alien: Covenant and Thor: Love and Thunder, made them perfectly suited to bring the campaign’s “otherworldly, local characters” to life, according to the brand.

“It’s a distinctive campaign that lets Australians in more rural areas know that now there’s something floating around in space, just for them,” explained Micah Walker, chief creative officer at independent creative studio, Bear Meets Eagle on Fire.

In a bid to move away from a traditional agency roster, Telstra’s bespoke partnership, that was announced in October last year, sees its media agency, OMD, team with Bear Meets Eagle On Fire and creative collective TBWA.

Just months ago +61 was still an idea and now their first work is in market. I love how ambitious, yet simple this work is,” said Brent Smart, CMO at Telstra.

“And of course it’s beautifully crafted, like everything Micah and his team does. We are just getting started.”

The integrated campaign is live across OOH, radio, in-store, press, social, digital, and experiential activations.
