In her new role, Deane will be charged with scaling the Sydney-based company ahead of a launch in the US and UK later this year.

Claire Deane, new Flaunter global head of marketing and content.

Deane has 15 years of marketing experience and ran her own strategy agency, Deane & Co for 8 years. During this time she consulted to brands including YCL Jewels, ClassPass, Next Hotel Group, REIQ, Retire Australia, Sheets on the Line, and Tourism & Events Queensland.

Deane said: “As a long time user of Flaunter, it’s really exciting to be on the other side of the table.”

“Having run my own agency for eight years, as well as working in-house for a number of big brands, I’ve seen first-hand the challenges PR and marketing firms face around resourcing, reporting and truly demonstrating their worth to clients and management.

Deane also previously worked as director of marketing for The Urban List, launching the platform in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

As part of the reshuffle, previous marketing and data manager, Margot Reid, will become head of operations. Reid has been with Flaunter since it’s conception, and in her new role will focus on the global expansion.

The global expansion comes in part thanks to a half a million dollar grant from Building Female Founders.

Flaunter founder and CEO, Gaby Howard, said: “We’re thrilled to have Claire join the team at Flaunter. We’ve always placed a strong emphasis on producing exceptional content for our audience, and Claire’s appointment positions us amongst the best SaaS companies who use content marketing as a key driver of user acquisition.”

“Flaunter is a game-changer for brands and agencies, and I’m excited to help brands and PR and marketing firms level up, both in Australia and as we roll out globally.”
