Floods unlikely to affect release of Bait 3D
The Queensland floods are unlikely affect the release of Bait 3D, a film about a flooded Gold Coast supermarket where tsunami survivors face a pack of hungry sharks.
“Nothing has been discussed, but as Bait 3D is such a clear work of fiction, I don’t think there is a conflict,” producer Gary Hamilton told Encore.
Bait 3D stars Xavier Samuel, Julian McMahon and Sharni Vinson. The project is directed by Kimble Rendall and produced by Gary Hamilton, Todd Fellman and Peter Barber. Executive producers are Chris Brown, Mike Gabrawy and Ian Maycock.
Bait 3D was shot on the Gold Coast last year and is currently in post-production. Local release will be handled by Paramount and although it was been scheduled for a 2011 release, no date has been announced yet.
