Most recently, he was acting CEO of the now insolvent tech startup UbiCar, an app based car insurance platform founded in Australia. UbiCar branded itself as the first usage-based insurance company in Australia. It went into voluntary administration in October 2020.

Prior to this Capobianco was at LiveRamp, which was rebranded from Acxiom, following the Interpublic Group acquiring the company’s marketing solutions arm of data, analytics and identity management service in a US$2.3 billion cash transaction in 2018.

Capobianco is now also a non-executive director of Provider Choice, which built the digital platform that guides people through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and a senior adviser to Karlsgate Inc, creator of cryptoidentity – a privacy-by-design data sharing technology.

Capobianco’s career in media spans across a variety of leadership positions in both the Australian and international markets, including roles with Yahoo, News Corp, CareerOne and Chinese search giant Baidu. He also served as a non-executive director at Adcorp Australia.
