Former M&C Saatchi Melbourne MD’s agency Akkomplice wins three new clients

Former M&C Saatchi Melbourne managing director Kenny Hill’s new agency Akkomplice has picked up three new clients.

The release:Akkomplice Group Australia has added three new clients to its portfolio in recent weeks with wins across several categories.

The appointment by Sirena Tuna this week caps off a run of new business wins for the new agency after being appointed to undertake creative duties for Choice Hotels, Australia’s largest hotel group, and for leading furniture retailer Plush Sofas.

“We were immediately impressed with the Akkomplice team’s grasp of the brief and the clarity of their thinking” said Janet Charteris, Head of Marketing at Sirena, adding “their response was beautifully simple and showed a real understanding of our brand and our ambitions”.

The recent run of new business success for Akkomplice comes off the win of Aussie Farmers Direct earlier this year. Director, Kenny Hill, puts the success down to a shake up in the industry, saying “We’re seeing niche players challenging the big agencies at every turn, but clients are struggling to navigate the market for the best partners”. It’s against this backdrop that the former MD of M&C Saatchi Melbourne is finding clients are drawn to the Akkomplice approach. “Akkomplice exists to make it easier for brands big and small to access the best talent in the market with a single point of focus around well-engineered strategy, and we’re seeing ambitious clients responding to that in a big way”, says Hill.

The appointment by Plush Sofas will see Akkomplice working with the brand’s media agency Gravia to create a new campaign for the furniture giant, whilst new work by Akkomplice is almost complete for Choice Hotels in collaboration with The Pound, Melbourne. This comes after the hotel group’s US parent engaged McCann New York for the stateside re-launch of the Choice brand.
