Former McCann Sydney MD Adam Lee joins Rt Health as chief marketing and commercial officer

The former managing director of McCann Sydney, Adam Lee, has joined Rt Health as its chief marketing and commercial officer.

Lee departed the IPG-owned advertising agency in September after spending three years in the role.

Lee was the MD at McCann Sydney for three years

Lee is now the chief marketing and commercial officer for a health insurer which covers the needs of transport and energy industry employees and their families.

“After taking a much needed break from over 20 years of continuous work, I’m really happy to be starting the new year as chief marketing and commercial officer with RT Health Fund.

“It is a not for profit organisation that works solely for the benefit and care of its members. I immediately liked its story, heritage, values and purpose.

“I was also attracted to this role because, after a career in agency roles, this provided something very different and – quite frankly – challenging. Going client-side will be a big learning curve for me, and I am excited by that.”

Prior to his three year stint at McCann, Lee was the group head at TBWA for nearly two years working on accounts including Tourism NZ, Hahn SuperDry, TAB and Luxbet.

He has also held a position as the business director at Ogilvy & Mather for 11 years.

Seven months prior to Lee’s departure, McCann’s CEO Ben Lilley stepped down. Two months later DDB Sydney’s CEO and CSO, Nicole Taylor and Fran Clayton, joined McCann as national CEO and CSO.
