Former MCN sales director Shae Bonney joins QMS Sport
MCN’s former national sales director of independent and direct, Shae Bonney, has joined QMS Sport as general manager – sales.
Bonney left MCN in October last year, following a re-structure of the business.
Bonney will lead sales for QMS Sport
He was with MCN for 17 years, working as Sydney sales director and later as national sales director of independent and direct. Prior to MCN, Bonney worked with News Corp in the UK.
Bonney will now aim to grow QMS Sport’s presence in market, and will work alongside Kurt Allison and Clara Martello, who have joined the business as Brisbane sales manager and research and insights specialist respectively.
Mark Pejic, CEO of QMS Sport, said the appointments were a testament to future growth of the Sport business.
“In the current media landscape of content increasingly viewed in time shift and on demand, Sport remains the last genre to be viewed the majority in real time. Highly engaging and brand safe, Sport delivers the perfect environment for clients to effectively communicate to their audiences,” Pejic said.
Bonney said he was looking forward to developing a portfolio of assets through deals with Australian sporting codes, teams and venues.
“Add to this, their vision and investment in digital technology from the field to the screen which is positioning QMS Sport well into the future,” Bonney said.
