Former PPR group director Matt Moran launches agency Corpwrite Public Affairs
Matt Moran, the former group director – healthcare at Professional Public Relations, has launched his own public affairs agency Corpwrite Public Affairs.
The agency is an affiliate of Corpwrite Australia which specialises in commercial writing and was established by freelance Money magazine writers Chris Walker and Anthony O’Brien in 2008.
Foundation clients include real estate brand Raine & Horne and non-bank lender Resi.
Moran, who has also worked in communications roles at health care brand Pfizer, told Mumbrella it was an opportunity to work with other sectors.
“We have a good complement of strategic thinking and corporate affairs coupled with people who can write really well,” he said.
He added: “The public affairs discipline is very transferable. If you can lobby government or do social media etc – it doesn’t matter what industry you’re working with. Part of the attraction was that it would move me into other areas.”
Moran said public affairs is an umbrella which public relations functions like media engagement, issues management and writing all fall under.
“The difference with our public affairs agency is that it’s not just about press releases and events it’s more about a strategy about how businesses communicate and work with their stakeholders,” he said.
Interesting. I wish any new venture the best of luck. I just hope those “people who can write really well” can distinguish between “compliment’ and ‘complement’

I’d say good luck, but luck has nothing to do with it!

It was all in jest folks, I never know when to use affect and effect.
If Matt can help keep Resi string and interest rates stable, he has my vote.
Best wishes

Simply trick Raging Bull. If you can put the word “the” before it, and it makes sense then it is “effect” … that is the 2 x “e’s” abut each other.

Best wishes to Corpwrite Public Affairs. With the level of experience and depth of talent that this group presents we will hear a lot more from them very soon.
