Former Site Tour and Ooyala exec Vicki Lyon joins AMAA as chief digital officer

Vicki Lyon has joined the Audited Media Association of Australia (AMAA) as chief digital officer.

Lyon most recently worked as an advisor to In2health. She has also held roles such as director of Adtech across Asia Pacific and Japan for Ooyala and chief commercial officer for Site Tour in Australia, where she was responsible for bridging the gap between programmatic buying and out of home.

Lyon was also former APAC managing director of SpotXchange and was also responsible for the launch of Tribal Fusion, one of the first international ad networks in Australia.

In her new role, Lyon will work with Simon Rumble, the AMAA’s digital consultant as well as the wider AMAA team.

Josanne Ryan, CEO of the AMAA, said Lyon brings the “perfect blend of experience” in the digital landscape to the role.

“The opaque digital trading ecosystem, brand safety and ad fraud are industry issues that we are all aware need more attention. With the AANA, IAB and MFA forming a working group late last year, to review best practice solutions in these areas, the AMAA is now resourced to support this important initiative through the development of services based on overseas models,” Ryan said.

Lyon said she hopes to work with other industry bodies and the digital community to align the market other global markets.

“This is an exciting opportunity to work with a much respected industry body, its members and the wider industry at what is an important time in the industry, with the growing awareness and focus on transparency, brand safety and ad fraud,” she said.
