Four Seasons Condoms launches animation series to distract and occupy children
Four Seasons Condoms has launched an animation series ‘The Extendables’ to distract young children while parents enjoy time alone.

Created by Marcel, the animated series features puppets Boss, Smarty, Nofu and Miss trying to land their spaceship on earth.
By receiving a code from a mobile phone and putting the code in on a laptop, parents can control The Extendables show from wherever they are in the house.
Parents are initially given 12 minutes of alone time, however, when the cartoon has one minute left, parents are able to extend the show for another 5 minutes.
The ad spot to promote the series says: “With these crazy creatures, the fun never stops – quite literally. The Extendables keeps going for, well, as long as you keep going… It even uses state-of-the-art motion sensors to let you know if the kids stop watching”.
The ad concludes: “It’s play time – for parents”.
How tacky …

Must be a massive market they are targeting…middle aged parents, with kids, tech savvy….who still use condoms.

Well, the skyrocketing STI rates in Millennials suggests they’re not buying the things. In my experience, nothing makes you see the value of contraception better than having children lol. Seems like a sensible market extension for the brand…
But of course, 30/40-year-old Gen X parents are traditionally not tech savvy right…? You may have been born into the web, For Who, but we built it…

Considering Mosaic was up and running in 1993 (the start of the Internet ‘going public’), some 24 years ago, I think your claim that 30-40 year olds “built” the Internet is bit of a stretch.
You may well have ‘expanded’ it but I would pay greater tribute to those who had the vision to actually build it when there was nothing but a blank sheet of paper, than those who wrote some pretty darn cool code to capitalise on it. I’m talking about people like Vint Cerf (73) and Tim Berners-Lee (61).

JG – If you paid attention to the very specific language I used in my post, you’d see I referenced “the web”. As in WWW, as opposed to the “Internet” which you appear to be referencing in your reply. Two different things.
