Fox Sports names Nine executive in new role of commercial director

Fox Sports has appointed Nine Entertainment executive Scott Briggs to the newly created role of commercial director.

Briggs, Nine’s director of commercial and regulatory affairs since 2007, will join the business on December 15 and oversee major commercial deals, relationships within Fox Sports’ various channels as well as with sports partners and government.

Fox Sports chief executive Patrick Delany said the arrival of such an experienced executive will bolster the network.

“Scott brings broad corporate and regulatory experience to the Fox Sports team,” he said. “I expect he will make a very significant contribution as we grow and develop our business.”
