Foxtel continues to bolster On Demand content in March

Foxtel is set to add a new selection of programming to Foxtel on Demand next month.

The announcement:

In March, Foxtel is adding a great selection of some of the most popular programming for subscribers to stream instantly on Foxtel On Demand, headlined by the arrival of the latest episodes of the politically charged drama Scandal and the Emmy Award winning anthology crime drama, American Crime. March’s new movie arrivals will feature X-Men: Apocalypse, and Ghostbusters (2016).

Foxtel residential customers with an internet connected Foxtel iQ box can instantly stream any of Foxtel’s incredible On Demand programming as well as record and play back a host of movies and TV to watch when they like. Foxtel streaming service, Foxtel Play, also provides access to world-leading entertainment live and On Demand starting from only $15 per month.

In addition, Foxtel residential and Foxtel Play customers have access to Foxtel Go, Foxtel’s mobile streaming app, at no extra charge. Foxtel Go enables subscribers to stream TV, live and On Demand, to selected smartphones and tablets, where they want, when they want.

Today’s announcement highlights Foxtel’s March On Demand line up of new complete seasons and movie greats that will join the hit shows already available to stream On Demand^.

The Washington DC-based favourite, Scandal, has complete seasons 1-5 available to stream On Demand with new episodes from season 6 added soon after they air in the US. Scandal stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, a former media consultant to the President, who has dedicated her life to protecting and defending the public images of the nation’s elite by keeping their secrets under wraps. Pope leads a team who specialise in cleaning up the lives of other people, but who cannot seem to do the same for themselves.
American Crime is a critically acclaimed anthology crime drama starring Felicity Huffman and Timothy Hutton that tackles a different criminal investigation each season. Season 1 focuses on the aftermath of the murder of a veteran and brutal assault of his wife and explores the story from multiple perspectives, centred around the impact of the event on the victims’ families, the suspects and their loved ones. Season 2 takes on issues of socio-economics and sexual orientation against the backdrop of two Midwestern US high schools. Season 3 will begin to air exclusively on Foxtel in March with new episodes added shortly after the US broadcast.

Also arriving On Demand in March are the final episodes of HBO’s Big Little Lies and the continuation of the final season of Girls along with complete seasons of the mystery drama, Top of the Lake (season 1), the action filled Banshee (seasons 1-4), and season 5 of edge-of-your-seat thriller Homeland.

The much anticipated new Foxtel series, Real Housewives of Sydney makes its debut in March with new episodes added to On Demand as they air, plus Lifestyle favourite Selling Houses Australia will start adding episodes from season 10 alongside all of the previous seasons 1-9 already available.

Foxtel On Demand’s key movies in March include superhero adventure X-Men: Apocalypse, the hilarious reboot of supernatural comedy Ghostbusters (2016) family favourite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows; and side-splitting Bad Neighbours 2 with Aussie favourite Rose Byrne staring with Seth Rogan.

Foxtel is home to a massive selection of many of the world’s most popular shows, from our own locally produced hits to must see programs from around the globe.

Foxtel also features the BoxSets and Binge channels, which allow subscribers to watch and record collections and selected series of some of the world’s greatest programs from HBO, the BBC, Warner Bros. and other Hollywood studios.
