Foxtix unveils first consumer campaign

News Ltd’s ticketing company Foxtix is giving away a $5000 Formula 1  Grand Prix experience  – in a bid to draw consumers to the events it represents.

The announcement:

News Limited’s ticketing company, Foxtix, today launched its first consumer campaign to raise awareness of the growing list of events on-site.

The campaign will run in News Limited’s metropolitan and regional print newspapers as well as News Digital Media’s online suite of brands.

Created by the Foxtix marketing and design team, the campaign focuses on the appreciation the experiences that some of Australia’s best events, listed on Foxtix, can provide Australians.

By signing up to join the Foxtix database, consumers have the chance to win one of two memorable experiences.

One winner will receive the ultimate 2011 Formula 1™ Qantas Australian Grand Prix experience including flights, accommodation, exclusive behind the scenes tours and a digital camera to capture the memories.

One runner-up will receive a $1000 RedBalloon voucher to customise his or her personal experience.

To enter, consumers simply need to visit foxtix.com.au and sign up to receive its newsletter.

Chief executive of Foxtix, Adam McArthur said that the consumer campaign signalled the next step in building the Foxtix brand.

“When we launched Foxtix to trade last year, we were overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received about filling a clear gap in the ticketing market.

“Now, as our event listings increase at a rapid pace, launching a consumer awareness campaign was the natural next step.”

Since launch, the company acquired the ticketing rights to:

– The 2011 Formula 1™ Qantas Australian Grand Prix

– The 2011 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix

– V8 Supercar Championships: 2011 Winton Raceway

– The FitX Sport and Fitness Expo

– The Melbourne Rebels vs. Fiji Rugby Union trial match

These clients joined a list of existing clients who were transferred from the company’s sister company, moshtix, and include: Swimming Australia, Hair Expo Australia and A-list Entertainment.

Mr McArthur continued, “With this campaign, we are reminding people about the great feelings and memories they experience and create when they attend an event and our role in this process – as the first point of call to purchase tickets to these events.”

The campaign ends on 5 March, 2011.
