FremantleMedia Enterprises sign deal with Sony Pictures

FremantleMedia Enterprises, the brand extension arm of FremantleMedia, will now represent Sony Pictures with licensed promotions, consumer products and live experiences.

The announcement made today means FremantleMedia hold the brand licensing rights across upcoming theatrical properties such as upcoming 3D pictures The Pirates: A Band of Misfits, Men In Black III and Hotel Transylvania, as well as The Amazing Spider-Man.

FremantleMedia have also acquired the rights to classic film and TV  titles Easy Rider, Taxi Driver, Bewitched, Charlie’s Angels, Married With Children and more.

“FME strives to work with world-class leaders in the industry and aligning with Sony Pictures Entertainment in representing some of the most exciting new releases movies and best known classic film and TV properties in the world is truly an exceptional opportunity,” said Jon Penn, CEO Asia Pacific, FME. “Our agreement presents us with a multitude of great merchandising and other opportunities.”

The deal covers both Australia and New Zealand.
