FutureBrand parts ways with MD and ECD

FutureBrand has undergone major management level surgery with the departure of its MD and executive creative director – who have worked with the agency for 28 years combined.

Erminio Putignano, managing director of the Interpublic-owned brand agency, is to exit after more than five years. Also departing is ECD Ken Shadbolt, who has been with FutureBrand for 23 years.

Colin Jowell, strategy director at M&C Saatchi, replaces Putignano, while lient services director Sally McNeill has been promoted to the role of general manager.

Zayn Khan, Asia Pacific CEO of FutureBrand, said: “I would like express my thanks to Erminio who has led FutureBrand with style and has helped us achieve some great things under his leadership. I would also like to congratulate Ken on his achievements during his 23 years with FutureBrand. Our strong reputation in Australia is a testament to both Erminio and Ken, and I wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours.”

Jowell joins FutureBrand in October. He said in a statement: “I am ecstatic to be joining a company with the world-class reputation that FutureBrand enjoys across the globe.
