Galore’s Tim Kirby joins Cultural Pulse

Former Naked Communications MD and Galore Creative partner, Tim Kirby, has joined Cultural Pulse as chief commercial officer.

His appointment comes as the independent multicultural marketing agency looks to scale to meet growing demand from brands.

He will work closely with co-founder CEO Reg Raghavan and Karissa Fletcher — who is formally stepping into the chief operating officer position — to grow the agency’s commercial and strategic footprint. He has also been tasked with expanding partnerships with media and creative agencies.

Kirby joins Cultural Pulse from Galore Creative, a creative agency he founded in 2020. Galore is described to be “propelled by diversity of thought”, which Kirby prides himself on.

Prior to founding Galore, Kirby spent nearly nine years at Naked Communications, where he moved up the ranks to managing director. He has also worked at Foxtel, The Marketing Store, and Red Bull.

“It’s been a great journey building Galore over the past five years, but I’ve always had an itch to help push the industry forward,” Kirby said in a media release on Tuesday.

“As that ambition grew, so did my focus on the enormous opportunity with today’s multicultural Australia. Our cultural diversity is one of Australia’s greatest strengths, yet so much of the industry still treats multicultural marketing as an afterthought.”

According to the release, Australia is projected to be 57% multicultural by 2026 and there are over 300 languages spoken at home. Cultural Pulse argues that despite this, brands are underinvesting in these diverse audiences.

“We’re at a moment where the way brands think about diverse community engagement is evolving fast. What we offer isn’t just multicultural marketing; it’s a new model built on cultural intelligence, community connection and data-driven delivery,” Raghavan said in the release.

“That mix is proving essential for clients across government, sport and the corporate sector who are looking for more than surface-level inclusion.”

Cultural Pulse’s client portfolio includes Commbank, TEG, ANZ, Meat & Livestock Australia, AFL, Stan, and Federal and State Governments, among others.
