GAYTMs, zombies, crashed cars and Boobs get nods in first Cannes Lions shortlists

Bonds BoobsGAYTMs, the Walking Dead’s Twitter zombie takeover, the Remote Control Tourist and Phubbing are all in contention for the first awards to be handed out at Cannes Lions 2014.

The first three shortlists to be revealed are Innovation, Promo and Activation and Direct Lions, with Australia picking up nominations for 21 separate campaigns, and New Zealand has nods for 14 different campaigns.

Two Australian agencies which have parted way with longterm clients in the last 12 months have also received nods for work for them, with George Patterson Y&R Melbourne nominated in Promo and Activation for Buildboard for Defence Force Recruitment, and Grey Melbourne nominated for two campaigns for the Transport Accident Commission.

Whybin\TBWA Sydney had already been named as the only Australian or New Zealand agency on the Innovation shortlist for the NRMA Crashed Car Showroom.
