GHD appoints Mango Communications as public relations agency of record
DDB Group’s Mango Communications has been appointed as the Australian public relations agency of record for hair-styling brand, GHD.
The agency will be responsible for PR partnerships, influencer activity and events that will support the GHD brand and products.
Mango New Zealand has been GHD’s PR agency for that market for the past six years.
The appointment follows a competitive pitch process.
GHD head of marketing, Karen Cox, said Mango will amplify the brand with trans-Tasman activity.
“We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Mango Communications. The team is renowned for smart, creative thinking, strong client partnerships and award-winning work. We’re looking forward to strengthening and amplifying our brand across Australia and New Zealand together,” Cox said.
Mango Sydney managing director, Tabitha Fairbairn, said: “GHD truly sets the standard when it comes to haircare innovation and is an essential tool for millions of consumers and professionals worldwide.
“It’s a brilliant outcome when a new partnership is founded both on chemistry and a shared vision of what earned communications can achieve. Mango’s trans-Tasman consultants are some of the best in the business. We will deliver great things for GHD in Australia and New Zealand.”
The new account follows Mango’s appointment as social media agency of record for baby formula brand Sanulac in February.
