GK Films & Carey Mulligan go ‘Outback’
Graham King, producer of The Departed, The Tourist, The Town and Rango, announced his GK Films will produce a sci-fi film, set in the Australian outback.
Simply entitled Outback, the film will star Carey Mulligan (The Great Gatsby) and be directed by Gary Ross (Seabiscuit, Pleasantville and upcoming The Hunger Games). Tobey Maguire will produce alongside Ross, King and his GK Films partner Tim Headington, reports Variety.
Nissar Modi, who wrote the adaptation of Robert C O’Brien’s novel Z For Zachariah, will write the script based on an original idea by he and Gary Ross.
