Go Transit Media Group has signed an agreement with Latrobe Valley Bus Lines to provide advertising on its local bus routs in Gippsland.

The announcement:

One of Australia’s fastest growing media organisations, Go Transit Media Group have signed an exclusive agreement with Gippsland based Latrobe Valley Bus Lines to provide advertising on the local route bus fleet.

Go Transit Media Group Chief Operating Officer Rick Chapman said he was delighted to secure the Gippsland contract which further increases his organisation’s footprint into Regional Victoria.

“We are thrilled to be able to work with such a progressive, locally owned company such as Latrobe Valley Bus Lines. The buses are constantly in the community and provide enormous coverage across the Gippsland region,” Mr Chapman said.

Mr Chapman said Go Transit’s reach extends from Melbourne’s CBD into a broad cross section of the regional Victorian market which includes towns like Geelong, Pakenham, Cranbourne, Mornington Peninsula, Albury Wodonga, Ballarat, Bendigo, Seymour Horsham and across to Nhill.

“Transit advertising is an invasive form of marketing which achieves widespread recognition in the form of either a side of a bus or a full wrap. Our entry into the Latrobe Valley market presents a tremendous opportunity for local businesses and national brands to promote their products and services across the whole region.

“With so much clutter out there we have found a niche in the market which cannot be diluted by technology which has heavily impacted on other traditional media. Businesses across Australia’s eastern seaboard from Cairns to Launceston have responded warmly to the opportunity to secure transit advertising. Bus wraps turn into a 40 foot sign which becomes a moving exhibit as it travels across a community and makes the ultimate marketing statement,” Mr Chapman said.

“Independent research indicated that transit and outdoor advertising is growing quickly as advertisers sought new ways to cut through cluttered and fragmented traditional markets. Our clients are finding that transit advertising is achieving great traction and provides a cost effective solution to generating brand awareness and sales,” he added.

Go Transit will commence in Latrobe Valley immediately with advertising on buses to appear in late June or early July this year.
