Gogglebox grabs 134,000 viewers for LifeStyle finale as it is renewed for second season
The season finale of Gogglebox Australia on Foxtel’s LifeStyle Channel was watched by 134,000 national viewers, with the show already picked up for a second season set to run later this year.
It premiered on pay TV to 146,000 viewers in February and has now been commissioned for a second season. The finale will also run on Ten tonight and does contain spoilers for the premiere episode of season five of Game of Thrones.
Meanwhile, My Kitchen Rules was the most-watched free-to-air show of the evening despite a small dip on last week’s audience, with the reality cooking show posting a metro audience of 1.384m down from 1.465m.
How about a program where they show people watching Goggle Box? Gotta tell ya there’s a lot of sneering disbelief going on out here about this show getting a following.
If it’s any consolation Peter more than 22 million Australians choose not to watch this “entertainment” !
I’m waiting for the spin off ‘google-box’ where we can watch everyday Australian households go on the internet
I have never watched Gogglebox and never will but have seen the ads and the worrying things is that these people vote – no wonder we have the issues we have – never realised there were so many bogans – sad really sad
I may be a tad ‘uncool’ but I loved Goggle Box and I am looking forward to it returning later in the year!
I too was very skeptical of Googlebox – but I have watched two episodes and it’s quite good. Yes, the participants play up to the camera – but some of the comments are gold.
