Gogglebox on top for Thursday night, Seven takes out total share

Ten’s Gogglebox has taken out the top spot for entertainment on Thursday night with 570,000 metro viewers and winning all three key advertising demos, however it was Seven that was the overall winner on the night.

Next up in entertainment was The Chase Australia on Seven, bringing in 532,000 metro viewers, followed by Masterchef with 480,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 28 April Seven News topped the list with 1.474 million Total TV viewers, including 33,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 3%. The program with the highest uplift was Ten’s Gogglebox, with an uplift of 28%, viewed by a total of 922,000 national viewers.

Next in entertainment on Thursday was Seven’s Home and Away, with 455,000 metro viewers, followed by the episode’s late showing, on 412,000 metro viewers. Up next was Nine’s Hot Seat, bringing in 375,000 metro viewers, followed by the 5pm showing of The Chase Australia on Seven, with 333,000 metro viewers.

Thursday Night NRL Live on Nine brought in 323,000 metro viewers for the network.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 891,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 887,000 metro viewers. Nine News was next with 794,000 metro viewers, then Nine News 6:30 with 761,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in 603,000 metro viewers and Nine’s A Current Affair had 564,000 metro viewers. ABC’s 7:30 followed with 465,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned about, Seven won overall share for the evening with 27.%, followed closely by Nine with 25.4%. Next was Ten, with 21.7% of total share, with ABC on 15.5%.
