The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Game Corporation (Goldoc) is advertising for new staff as the team prepares for the Games.

Goldoc was established in 2012 to help the government and Commonwealth Games delivery partners plan, organise and host the 2018 Games, which will take place in early April, 2018.

The new role, general manager for communications and marketing, will be responsible for delivering strategic and operational communications and market planning for next year’s Games.

The job is separate to that of the Australian Commonwealth Games Association’s Melbourne-based role of general manager for marketing and communications, which has been held by Jonathon Monasso since June.

The new general manager will report directly to Mark Peters, CEO of Goldoc and work with the communications and marketing team to deliver the 2018 vision of “great Games in a great city.”
