Goodbye to the agency once know as T** F******
Dr Mumbo admires the speed with which the webmaster of The Foundry’s website reacted to news that the agency was being absorbed into Smart.
Following this morning’s announcement, every mention of the word “The” or “Foundry” has been replaced on the agency home page by a yellow bar.

Thats just keyword highlighting from looking for the site in Google. Try going to the website directly and you will see there is no highlighting.

Casey’s right. Worst web design trend ever, confirmed! (It’s a year or two old now; thankfully nobody recommends highlighting your actual page any more.)

Hint to anyone building websites: If you’re going to go to the trouble of implementing scripts to check the referring URL, see that it’s come from Google, identifying the terms used on Google, and then applying a class to the text on your page where those terms appear… DON’T GIVE THE CLASS THE SAME BACKGROUND COLOUR AS YOUR TEXT.
Especially when you’re a web development agency.

Nice headline! Surely I’m not the only person who did a double take, thinking the stars were being used to hide an expletive? (Or two…)?
Nope. Checked with some other people. They also read the headline as:
‘Goodbye to the agency once known as the f***ers’
(or… ‘tit’, instead of ‘the’).
hmmm…
