GOODLINX: Fairfax’s reader relations; Perth scam ads; Hijacking the Oscars
Fairfax really have got that reader relations stuff licked, havent they?
As Kelpenhagen reports she emailed The Age tell them she was cancelling her subscription over Miranda Devine’s column about the bushfires. The response? “Your interest in Herald Publications is appreciated and has provided us with valuable feedback. Please quote 00138031 if you wish to contact ReaderLink again.”
When is a scam ad not a scam ad? When it’s from Perth. Or at least that’s what the critics are saying at Campaign WA.
Here’s an excellent PR stunt by cold remedy brand Airborne. They’ve bought the back page of The Hollywood Reporter, and are offering a million dollars to the first Oscar winner who names checks them in their acceptance speech. Even if it doesn’t happen, the PR behemoth is already rolling.
and still no response – maybe they are a little overwhelmed by other emails all saying the same thing? Like this one by Gavin Heaton (http://tinyurl.com/dbwn23) or this one (http://tinyurl.com/bwt5w7) by @franksting
