McCann Erickson’s Mark Pollard on the psychological secrets of Ikea:  

“I laugh at this every time I put my foot on the escalator: how can they be so blatant about this? A walled garden – this sort of behaviour (forced rope-in) would make us despise a company like Telstra… but Ikea get away with it.”

Naked’s Adam Ferrier on the truth about Lara Bingle’s shoes:

“Iwould love have heard her say the truth, something along the lines of, ‘They’re Louis Vuitton. I love the way they are extremely expensive and not everyone can afford to own a pair. They help me feel more important, and part of an elite crowd of people. I feel a little insecure at black tie functions and they help me feel like I belong’. Comfort obviously has nothing to do with it.”

Nathan Bush at the Another Advertising Wanker blog says that no matter how much it issues denials, Nine’s fingerprints are all over this outtakes clip for Wipeout:

 And he argues:

“All it would take is for Channel Nine to put up their hand and say: “Yes, we have some questionable content. Yes, it may not be for everyone. Yes, some will actually be offended by it. But here it is. And if you like it, here is more of what you might like.” Nine should not be ashamed of controversial content when it is this content which they believe will win them the battle.”
