Google, Destination Melbourne, Customer Frame and Gate 7 complete Mumbrella Travel Marketing Summit

Mumbrella’s Travel Marketing Summit has been finalised with the addition of Google, Destination Melbourne, Customer Frame and Gate 7.

Michelle Allen Mumbrella Travel Marketing Summit

Google’s Michelle Allen will join a panel discussing marketing to consumers on the move

Google’s industry head of travel, Michelle Allen, will join a panel on marketing to travellers on the move, led by Storyation head of content, Lauren Quaintance. The panel will discuss each part of the process when it comes to reaching the consumer on the move – a serious challenge for an industry grappling with how to connect with people who travel on a whim.

The Mumbrella Travel Marketing Summit will take place on April 12 followed by the Travel Marketing Awards, which for the first time is a gala dinner ceremony. Tickets for both the summit and the awards dinner are available now.

Kate Flynn Mumbrella Travel Marketing Summit 2018

Kate Flynn will also join Allen on the panel led by Storyation’s Quaintance

Also joining Allen and Quaintance on the panel is Kate Flynn, marketing and communications director at Destination Melbourne. Flynn has over 14 years of marketing experience both nationally and internationally and has been at Destination Melbourne since 2015.

Meanwhile, Suanne Carr, partner at Customer Frame, will complete the panel on disrupting the travel industry. The discussion will centre around opportunities to disrupt a long-standing industry as well as what travel marketers should look out for in the year ahead. Carr’s experience spans work with lastminute.com, Avis Rent-A-Car, Travelocity and Tourism Queensland.

Jo Palmer, managing director of multi-award winning marketing agency, Gate 7, which specialises in travel, will complete the highly-anticipated panel on the USA and the new world of travel marketing. The USA is going through its most significant transformation in decades, changing the shape of its systems, politics and beliefs, but has this affected the job of the marketer working with the USA travel industry?

Brands already announced for the summit include Air New Zealand, Travelport, Expedia, Destination NSW, Kayak, Brand USA, Tourism Australia, Big4, Seven Network, YHA, Contiki and more.

The Travel Marketing Summit takes place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney on April 12. Tickets are available now.
