The superannuation fund representing the media, entertainment and arts industry has appointed a new CEO.
Graeme Russell, will lead the $3bn industry fund, replacing former boss Ross Martin. Russell was formerly CEO of First Super.
Meanwhile, senior executive Michael Rooney, GM for Finance and Compliance at Media Super has been appointed Deputy CEO of the fund.
Chair to the fund, Gerard Noonan said: “As a former newspaper publisher, business consultant and superannuation executive, Graeme is uniquely positioned to lead the fund. It’s a very challenging environment for printing, publishing and journalism at present.”
“Graeme is a great advocate for open, transparent governance – his fund was the leader in campaigning to disclose fully directors’ fees and CEO salary. They didn’t just talk, they did it.”
