Great Schlep, Australian style – Nag Your Nan Day
The Australian Youth Climate Coalition has drawn inspiration from the Obama US election campaign’s Great Schlep, where young Amercians were encouraged to travel to Florida to persuade their grandparents to vote, by launching Nag Your Nan day.
The coalition is encouraging its 53,000 young supporters to talk to their grandparents about environmental issues ahead of the election.
The Sarah Silverman-fronted Great Schlep campaign was labelled a key factor in the Democrats winning Florida in the election. it won a Titanium Lion at Cannes
