Grey Group’s president of global health and wellness Jason Kahner to present keynote at Mumbrella Health Marketing Summit

The president of global health and wellness for Grey Group, Jason Kahner, is set to fly in from New York to keynote at Mumbrella’s Health Marketing Summit.

Globally, Grey Group has created both controversial and accoladed advertising campaigns for Gillette – including its First Shave and The Best Men Can Be – as well as critically acclaimed creative for Walgreens.

Presenting the keynote presentation at Mumbrella’s Health Marketing Summit on August 22 in Sydney, Kahner will unpack why brands need to go beyond purpose and aim to create real social change.

Throughout the presentation, Kahner will draw on examples from Gillette, the Diabetes Association of Brazil, and Walgreens to explore how brands can successfully use marketing to drive social change and subsequently increase ROI.

He will reveal how some of Grey Group’s best and most controversial campaigns have worked and will unpack why brand purpose differentiates brands and engages customers, endears loyalty and contributes to culture and society.

The session will see Kahner give insights into how the health industry can make marketing experiential, thrilling, intuitive and truly personal.

Also joining the lineup of speakers at Mumbrella’s Health Marketing Summit is the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia’s (PSA) GM of market engagement, Joey Calandra and Mahlab’s founder and managing director, Bobbi Mahlab.

Mahlab and Calandra will discuss how the PSA managed to overcome the challenge of reaching healthcare professionals across Australia.

In this session, the PSA will will unpack how it strives to stay relevant despite the changing industry and its audiences, while addressing how to reach healthcare professionals in an era where targeted messaging makes it harder than ever.

Kahner, Mahlab and Calandra join a lineup of other industry leaders including health and fitness expert and Australian TV star, Steve Willis; the Heart Foundation’s CMO, Chris Taylor; AHM’s head of marketing, Amanda Romeo; Ward6 and McCann Health’s CEO, Stewart Black; and Compare the Market’s general manager of health, Anthony Fleming.
