Gruen Planet tops Wednesday ratings
The final episode of ABC1’s ad show Gruen Planet topped the Wednesday ratings with 1.175m, reversing last week’s figures by pulling ahead of Nine’s The Celebrity Apprentice.
On a decent night for the ABC, which claimed a higher channel share than Ten, the penultimate installment of music quizz series Spicks and Specks came third and The Hamster Wheel came inside the top ten.
Seven’s Sunrise was back on top at breakfast time, edging out Nine’s Today by 44,000 viewers, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.
Ten’s highest ranked show was Glee, which pulled in 683,000 to claim 14th spot in the ratings table.
The 2011 ratings season does not end until November 26, but Seven looks likely to win the season comfortably. The channel has ranked top in metro free-to-air viewing every week since the ratings year began on 6 February. This is the first time a TV station has shown such dominance since the ratings measurement system was introduced two decades ago.

There are almost two million Australians who watch Today Tonight or A Current Affair each night. Atonishing! I am not being elitist – they are both apalling by any standard.

Dan, that is based on the ratings but is not an actual fact.
I am willing to concede that these are the numbers used to buy and sell television advertising and we have nothing better to base these transactions on. But to make a social commentary based on the figures is a bit of a stretch.
But it is an actual fact that both sows are rubbish

Very odd Mumbers. Every man and his dog know that the TV ratings are estimates and not absolute facts. But they are darned good ones.
On the other hand, you state your opinion that both shows are rubbish as a fact.
So, can you please clarify what (in your opinion) constitutes a fact?
