Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 knocks The Fate of the Furious from top weekend box office spot
Disney’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has topped the weekend box office knocking The Fate of the Furious from first place, earning $8.616m across 705 screens over the weekend.
Premiering on Thursday the action science fiction film has totalled $15.684m, according to weekend box office figures from the Motion Picture Distributors Association of Australia.
Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 actually opened on Tuesday (Anzac Day) with Monday night previews, and earned a cool 7 million through Wednesday.
